I don’t know about your family, but my family goes in major food phases. Every so often we get really into a certain type of food and as soon as I decide to make it in bulk, no one seems to want it anymore!

Recently we were in a big yogurt phase, and my fridge was full of regular homemade yogurt, goat yogurt, and even coconut yogurt! But as things often go, we stopped eating so much of it, and I had a lot of yogurt to use up before it went bad.

This frozen yogurt bark turned out to be the perfect solution! Not only does it preserve the yogurt a little longer, but the fun presentation helps everyone eat a little more yogurt that they typically would.

It’s become the go-to healthy afternoon snack my kids and I all enjoy!

Why You’ll Love this Recipe

Simple ingredients – You probably already have everything you need to make yogurt bark right now!

Kid-favorite – Frozen yogurt is automatically more fun than regular yogurt!

Versatile recipe – You can customize it to your unique taste by mixing up the type of fruit and add-ins.

Healthy summertime snack – This is the perfect healthy alternative to popsicles or ice cream!

How to Store

You can store yogurt bark in an airtight container in the freezer for 2-3 months.

Keep in mind that the longer it lasts, the more probiotics die or are deactivated. While freezing yogurt does instantly reduce the amount of active cultures, if you enjoy the yogurt bark within a month, you will still get some probiotics.

Tips for Success

Use thick yogurt – Thinner yogurt has a higher water content and tends to make the yogurt bark icy. Regular homemade yogurt and full-fat Greek yogurt typically make fantastic yogurt bark.

Keep frozen – It thaws quickly so only take it out of the freezer right before eating.

Experiment with add-ins – Want to add some additional sweetness? Throw in some chocolate chips! If you’re not a fan of granola, feel free to swap that for chopped nuts or leave it out all together.
