I think homemade drinks are one of the most underrated things you can make from scratch. Whether it’s water kefir, healthy lemonade, or this watermelon juice recipe, experimenting with new drinks is fun and so much cheaper and healthier than what you could get in the store.

Whenever I go over to my mom’s house, she always has homemade peppermint tea to share. My whole family loves it iced or hot (though personally I prefer it iced), and I know you’ll love it too.

Why You’ll Love this Recipe

Versatile drink – Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing summer drink or a cozy cup of hot tea, this peppermint tea is just what you need.

2-ingredient recipe – All you need is honey and fresh peppermint tea (and some water)!

Refined sugar free – Honey is a fantastic healthy sweetener, and its flavor pairs perfectly with the fresh peppermint.

Healthy treat – Whenever I want to enjoy a sweet treat without splurging, this tea is perfect.

Tips for Success

Don’t skimp on the peppermint – More is almost always better than less!

Steep between 15 and 20 minutes – If you don’t steep long enough, it’ll lack flavor. However, if you let it go too long, it will become bitter.

Wait to add the honey – To keep the honey raw, wait to add it until the tea has cooled to a drinkable temperature.

If enjoying cold, wait until last-minute to add ice – This way you’ll avoid the ice melting and watering it down.
