Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh peppermint leaves
  • 1/4 cup honey raw
  • 1 quart water

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil over high heat.
    1 quart water
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the peppermint leaves.
    2 cups fresh peppermint leaves
  • Cover the pot and allow the tea to steep for 15-20 minutes.
  • Pour the tea through a mesh strainer to remove the leaves.
  • Allow the tea to cool to a drinkable temperature and stir in the honey.
    1/4 cup honey
  • Serve your homemade peppermint tea hot or chill and serve iced.

Notes

  • To avoid weak or bitter tea, make sure to steep for 15-20 minutes.
  • To keep the honey raw, wait to add it until the tea has cooled to a drinkable temperature. Depending on your desired sweetness, feel free to use more or less.
  • If you're serving this tea cold, add the ice last-minute to avoid watering it down.
