Ingredients

Instructions

  • Pour the Castile soap and castor oil into the spray bottle.
5 tablespoons Castile soap, 2 tablespoons castor oil
  • Add the drops of lavender essential oil.
    4 drops lavender essential oil
  • Fill the bottle the rest of the way with water.
  • Shake gently to combine.
  • To use, shake the bottle gently and spray 1 - 2 pumps into your hand. Lather onto damp face and rinse with warm water.

Notes

  • Make sure to use unscented liquid Castile soap that hasn't already been diluted. Typically, Castile soap uses a mix of olive and coconut oils, however, coconut oil is more drying. Look for Castile soap that has a higher percentage of olive oil.
  • If you want to use this face wash on children, I recommend leaving out the lavender essential oil or reducing it by at least 50%.
  • For a different scent, try using other skin-safe essential oils instead of lavender oil.
  • Distilled water is best for this DIY, however, you can also use clean drinking water.
