In a mixing bowl, combine the melted tallow and fractionated coconut oil.
1 cup tallow, 1/4 cup fractionated coconut oil
Gently pour it into glass jars (or whatever containers you want to store it in).
Let it set at room temperature for about 45 minutes and then move to the fridge to finish the cooling process.
When the baby balm has fully set, store at room temperature and use as needed.
- You can render tallow yourself or purchase tallow. I prefer using tallow from organic, grass-fed cows or at least cows that I know were raised in a healthy environment.
- Fractionated coconut oil is a type of MCT oil. If you prefer, you can substitute regular MCT oil.
- Baby balm is shelf-stable and can be stored in a cool, dark location for up to a year.
