Equipment

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted tallow and fractionated coconut oil.
1 cup tallow, 1/4 cup fractionated coconut oil
  • Gently pour it into glass jars (or whatever containers you want to store it in).
  • Let it set at room temperature for about 45 minutes and then move to the fridge to finish the cooling process.
  • When the baby balm has fully set, store at room temperature and use as needed.

Notes

  • You can render tallow yourself or purchase tallow. I prefer using tallow from organic, grass-fed cows or at least cows that I know were raised in a healthy environment.
  • Fractionated coconut oil is a type of MCT oil. If you prefer, you can substitute regular MCT oil.
  • Baby balm is shelf-stable and can be stored in a cool, dark location for up to a year.
