maple syrup

zest and juice from 1/2 lemon
Instructions
Place the mixed berries, maple syrup, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a saucepan and bring to a simmer on medium heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Serve warm over your favorite dishes!
Notes
You can substitute 2 tablespoons of bottled lemon juice for the fresh lemon juice and zest, but it will slightly impact the flavor.
