Baked Figs

Easy and delicious, baked figs make for a festive fall or winter side dish!

Ingredients

  • 16 fresh figs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Remove any stems from the figs and slice them in half.
  • Place them cut side up in the baking dish.
  • Evenly drizzle the melted coconut oil and spices over them.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place the figs in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until they're soft and cooked through.
  • Remove the figs from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute butter for the coconut oil.
