Ingredients

cranberries

cinnamon
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan and stir to combine.
3 cups cranberries,
2 apples,
1/2 onion,
1/2 cup maple syrup,
1/2 cup water,
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar,
2 tablespoons crystalized ginger,
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Reduce the heat slightly and simmer gently for 20 minutes, continuing to stir frequently.
Pour the chutney into a glass serving dish and serve immediately or place in the fridge to chill.

Ingredient Notes
Use fresh apples that have a good balance of sweet and tart flavor such as Gala, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Granny Smith.
You can use fresh or frozen cranberries (no need to thaw).
Feel free to leave out the crystalized ginger if you don't like it.
Storage
The flavors continue to deepen as it sits in the fridge, making this a perfect make-in-advance recipe.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer up to 3 months.
